In-kind Donations

 

At Italian Home for Children, the children in our care — including those living in our residential and crisis stabilization programs — depend on more than clinical support. They need the everyday essentials that support their comfort, dignity, and sense of belonging. Your donated goods go directly to the young people we serve, in the places they call home.

We gratefully accept the following:

Hygiene & Personal Care Toothbrushes (manual only), toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, floss, body wash, washcloths, towels, shower caddies, detangler spray, brushes, combs, styling gel, hair clips, headbands, bows, hair ties, facial cleanser, lotion, sunscreen, lip balm, feminine pads, toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, tissues, wet wipes, and disinfectant wipes.

Linens Sheets, pillowcases, comforters and blankets (kid-friendly prints are especially loved!), throw pillows, and regular pillows.

Clothing Many of our older youth wear adult sizes, and we welcome all sizes including plus. Needed items include flip flops, sneakers, socks, bathing suits, underwear, leggings and yoga pants, men’s sweatpants, sweatshirts and zip-ups, t-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, pajamas, and coats.

Therapeutic & Activity Supplies Crayons, washable markers, construction paper, art kits, yarn, science kits, weighted blankets, canvases, popsicle sticks, sports equipment (pinnies, cones, balls), dry erase markers and erasers, fabric, washable paint, and beads.

Household & Miscellaneous First aid kits, unbreakable plates, utensils (forks and spoons only — no knives), goggles, beach towels, back-to-school supplies, wall decals, bulletin boards, white boards, and holiday lights for indoors and outdoors.
