MAINTENANCE WORKER

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position requires routine and preventative maintenance and repair on campus buildings, grounds,
mechanical equipment and utility systems. Requires skills to perform building maintenance including: light
carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, flooring, painting, landscaping, shoveling and swimming pool
maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Regular upkeep and preventative maintenance campus wide including satellite locations
- Standing, bending, reaching for entire shift and/or extended periods of time
- Lift 80-100lbs and up to 150lbs with assistance
- Climbing and working on ladders; significant heights
- Knowledge of use of power and hand tools
- Work special events, functions, or weather related emergencies (ie. snowstorms, hurricanes,
building floods) as assigned - Travel to other IHC locations to perform maintenance duties as assigned
- Work in extreme weather conditions

RECRUITMENT COORDINATOR

The HR Generalist/Recruitment Coordinator will assist in the management of services for 300+ employees across multiple locations with a focus on recruitment. Key to successful recruitment will be the development of innovative and creative recruitment strategies based on the knowledge and strong understanding of agency programs and positions. The Recruitment Coordinator will represent the agency publicly in an excited and enthusiastic manner that draws interest and quality talent.
This Generalist/Recruiter is responsible for managing employees’ experience from recruitment to onboarding and through the complete employee life cycle. The Generalist/Recruiter will manage collection of information from employees (including benefit enrollments, policy acknowledgements, IDs, agency provided property, policy/information distribution etc.) as well as ensuring personnel files are complete, accurate and in line with regulatory and legal requirements.
The Generalist/Recruiter will develop and maintain the infrastructure for recruitment and employee onboarding which includes a standardized application process and processing candidate workflow. The Generalist/Recruiter will work with other Talent Department team members and program managers to implement selection process for qualified candidates. They will maintain close working relationships with Leaders and hiring managers to gain a greater understanding of their staffing needs. The Manager must be detail oriented with outstanding interpersonal skills and an eye for talent. The Generalist/Recruiter will further the agency’s mission by recruiting talented individuals who demonstrate agency mission and values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment:
- Develop and execute innovative marketing and promotion plans for successful recruitment
- Design and manage targeted outreach strategies with the goal of finding qualified staff members
- Attend career fairs, in addition to other recruitment related events
- Proficiency with social media platforms for recruitment purposes
- Manage, assess and research partnerships with recruitment platforms
- Develop, manage, and cultivate partnerships with local schools and universities to bring in new talent for employment, internships, and practicums
- Drive selection for key positions by screening resumes, conducting phone interviews, and selecting candidates for in-person interviews
- Work with hiring managers to ensure job descriptions are up to date
- Advise leaders and hiring managers throughout the hiring process
- Track and record recruitment data aligned to departmental goals
- Track, manage and update job vacancy data and recruitment strategies through regular conversations with Leaders and hiring managers
- Stay in communication with candidates throughout the application, hiring and onboarding process

Talent (HR) Dept Management:
- Manage Talent/HR data systems
- Manage and process all new hires through a systematic onboarding process including benefit enrollment, background checks and complete new hire set up
- Work closely with Finance and payroll to ensure effective processes and systems regarding employee related data
- Regularly assess department systems and goals for continuous quality improvement
- Assist in review and updating of agency policies and procedures
- Collect, review and report on recruitment, employee and other Talent related data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

- Bachelor's degree preferred

SENIOR DIRECTOR OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING

POSITION OVERVIEW
As a member of Italian Home for Children’s (IHC) Senior Leadership Team, the Senior Director of Educational Programming (SDEP) will have responsibility for the overall quality and operations of Italian Home for Children’s Pallotta Educational Center, a K-8 therapeutic day school for children with special education needs who are enrolled as day or residential education students. This position oversees 30-45 children and 30+ full time equivalent employees. SDEP will execute strategic expansion, forecast and be accountable to financial performance, monitor standards of special education, and develop key partnerships. SDEP will envision and execute the clinical and educational direction of the programs as well as promote and ensure IHC treatment philosophies are implemented; ensuring IHC’s strong reputation as demonstrating high standards for quality of care.
The Senior Director will focus on the following areas: program leadership and management, professional growth opportunities for staff, setting high performance expectations and holding staff accountable, creating a balanced therapeutic and educational environment, staff retention, and growing the size of the school. Internally, s/he will provide inspiration, instill loyalty, pride, and passion for working at IHC, and recognize hard work and creativity. Externally, the Senior Director will play a key role in raising visibility, awareness, and influence about IHC through the cultivation of strategic relationships and taking opportunities to communicate both the school and the overall organization’s mission.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Educational Leadership
- Serve as Senior Director of the Pallotta Educational Center/Special Education Administrator
- Develop quality improvement goals, engage staff in attaining the goals, and track outcomes for day school
- Oversee compliance of individual student/client records, detailing services and performance; ensure managers complete periodic record reviews
- Oversee that all IEP’s remain current and relevant by attending all Quarterly Conferences, Progress Reviews, and Medication Reviews
- Execute comprehensive marketing plan for recruitment of students
- Oversee, in conjunction with Clinical Coordinator, the intake process for all referred students and arrange with the designated Out of District Coordinator any necessary payment and service agreements
- Provide strategic leadership in developing and implementing annual goals and objectives around financial performance
- Remain current with knowledge of best practices, relevant research, policies, regulations, and other trends affecting Italian Home for Children educational programs
- Chair Wellness Committee to be held quarterly and recruit participants/establish buy in
- Engage in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training and ensure the safety of the children
Personnel Leadership & Management
- Develop comprehensive marketing plan for recruitment of staff; develop, coach, and retain high-performing staff in both programs
- Schedule and implement individual supervision and in-service training for management and specialty services staff; ensure managers are providing supervision and performance management to their reports within guidelines of agency supervision model
- Advise managerial level staff around how to appropriately and professionally respond to client/family complaints and state agency concerns
- Through example and leadership, establish a culture of mutual support and respect, personal responsibility, empowerment, and continued skill development
- Receive and appropriately respond to staff feedback
- Further integrate the various specialties and disciplines of occupational therapy, nursing, psychiatry, speech and language, music, art, clinicians, and milieu staff
Strategic Internal and External Partnerships
- Cultivate and manage relationships with DESE and potential LEA referral sources through regular in person marketing visits and constantly strive to learn how IHC’s school can differentiate itself from similar programs
- Research and network with other schools both in and out of state to redesign and restructure programs to stay relevant
- Serve as primary liaison to Development Department scheduling and engaging volunteers, cultivating donors, attending board meetings, and hosting events, to include some evening hours
- Interact with the Board of Directors through periodic meeting attendance and committee participation
- Represent Italian Home for Children at conferences within the nonprofit, philanthropic, mental health, and policy communities and at other relevant meetings and events
- Collaborate with COO, grant writer, and Curriculum Coordinator on identification and submission of grant opportunities to expand program offerings and staff professional development
- Act as a liaison to other departments including residential program staff, nursing, prescribers, Talent, and Finance including sharing resources and staff and integrating specialties
- Collaborate with executive team in the development of new initiatives and alternative program models to increase Italian Home for Children’s impact and/or scale; participate in strategic planning
- Research and network with other programs to design enhanced clinical quality plans for existing programs and the development of new programs
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Special Education or related field, License as a Special Educator, and a minimum of one year of administrative experience are all required
- License as Administrator of Special Education strongly preferred
- License as Principal with ability to obtain Special Education Administrator license within one year of hire will be considered
- Two or more years as principal/senior leader strongly preferred
- Background working with children with trauma and/or behavioral health histories strongly preferred
- Experience working effectively with children and families in diverse communities
