Your participation in any of our special events provides critical support to the Italian Home for Children.  Assist with our golf tournament, attend City Lights, and/or join our Ride for Kids initiative and you will not only support our programs, but you will have fun too!

Rodman Ride for Kids

The Rodman Ride for Kids is a one day cycling event every September to benefit several child welfare agencies in Massachusetts including the Italian Home for Children.  The Ride hosts over 1,200 cyclists and hundreds of volunteers.  Each year, the Ride raises millions of dollars to help more than 50,000 at-risk children.  The event offers a day of challenge and fun.  Cyclists ride 25, 50, or 100 miles through beautiful Southeastern Massachusetts countryside.  As riders pedal along each carefully marked and monitored route, volunteers encourage and direct them to waterstops that offer refreshments and a comfortable place to prepare for the next segment of the route.  At the finish line, cyclists enjoy an afternoon barbecue with music and celebration for a job well done!  You may also check out the Ride's website by clicking on their logo above for more information on how you can participate.

Play for Kids

The Italian Home’s "Play for Kids" golf tournament is held every June at different golf courses throughout Massachusetts.  After a delicious lunch, golfers proceed with a shotgun tee-off and eighteen holes of golf playing in a scramble format.  After a sit-down dinner, a brief awards ceremony is held to present prizes to the tournament winners and a fantastic raffle is held with unbelievable prizes.  Various levels of corporate support are available throughout the year.  THIS TOURNAMENT SELLS OUT EACH YEAR!

City Lights

The Italian Home for Children has a gala each spring called City Lights to benefit our mission of serving children at risk in Massachusetts.  Dinner, cocktails, music, dancing, and live and silent auctions provide for a wonderful night at a downtown location for this fundraising event.  There are sponsorship and advertising opportunities available as well as the option to buy tables or individual tickets which all benefit the Italian Home for Children.  Learn more about City Lights.
