How can you help?
Tutors work with the children one-on-one at the Mary Savioli Pallotta Educational Center, located at our Jamaica Plain Campus. Volunteers help augment capacity in our classrooms and at after-school club activities.
Volunteers organize recurring activities for the children such as dance lessons, sport classes and games, etc. Commitment of at least 4 sessions is preferred.
Special Events Volunteer

Spiritual Enrichment Volunteer
Become a Spiritual Enrichment Volunteer
Help a child with his or her spiritual development!!!
The Italian Home for Children Spiritual Enrichment volunteer can be one of the most influential people these children will ever meet. Many of the children living in our residences need positive adult role models. Is that you?
What Do Volunteers Do?
Spiritual Enrichment volunteers meet with children as a group, take the time to get to know them, and develop a positive relationship with them. Volunteers share food, engage in creative activities, and let the kids share things that are important to them and ask questions about faith.
Volunteers typically meet with children for one and a half hours each week, generally on a weekday evening. The day and time is determined by Spiritual Enrichment Coordinator. Currently, we have activities with the children on Wednesday nights from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
What Does it Take to Become a Volunteer?
You don't have to be a social worker or a youth worker to be a volunteer. We welcome people who have a passion for children at risk and a desire to help them discover God's love and purpose for their lives.
